Mechanical properties of acrylate matrix composite reinforced with manganese‐aluminum layered double hydroxide

Abstract Acrylate polymers are used in several applications such as dentistry, medicine, and industry. The modification of their properties using the reinforcement is key importance for possible applications. Layered double hydroxides materials that easily synthesized by techniques giving possibility to modulate chemical composition morphology they consist a divalent trivalent anion hydroxide layers can be exfoliated thus provide material interesting composite reinforcement. In this paper, Mn was Al cation. obtained particles were preparation composites 1, 3, 5 wt% quantities prepared samples compared matrix consisting PMMA. Physical mechanical sample having best (with 3 MnAl‐LDH filers) exhibited 6.38% modulus elasticity, 27% hardness, 10% tensile strength improved values clear PMMA matrix.
